Gold Laboratory

The Gold Lab is a fully equipped, self-contained unit designed for the safe and secure processing of gold concentrate into refined gold bars. Housed in a standard 40-foot sea container, the Gold Lab provides a controlled workspace for final-stage recovery, cleanup, smelting, weighing, and documentation directly at the mine or processing site.

The standard Gold Lab is divided into two functional areas: a “dirty room” for concentrate processing and smelting, and a “clean room” for weighing, documenting, and securely handling finished gold. The clean room can also serve as an air-conditioned field office, providing operators with a clean workspace separate from the processing area.

Each Gold Lab can be supplied with the equipment required to take concentrate through the final stages of recovery. A typical configuration includes a Reverse Multi-Helix Spiral Finisher, water pump and sand filtration system, smelting equipment, precision scales, work surfaces, storage, and the necessary gold-handling tools, from pans and screens to tweezers and other finishing equipment.

For operations where mercury or amalgam may be present, the Gold Lab can also be configured with dedicated mercury recovery and handling equipment. This allows mercury-bearing concentrates to be processed in a more controlled environment while keeping this work separated from clean gold handling and documentation areas.

Gold Labs can also be equipped to support the broader needs of the processing plant. Optional configurations can include a dedicated maintenance and tool area stocked with the hand tools, power tools, spare parts, workbenches, storage, and other equipment required for routine plant maintenance and field repairs. Additional storage, ventilation, electrical systems, lighting, security features, sinks, water systems, office equipment, and processing equipment can be incorporated depending on the requirements of the operation.

Because every mine site and recovery circuit is different, the Gold Lab can be customized around the customer’s specific needs. Internal layouts, processing equipment, work areas, storage, utilities, security systems, and support equipment can all be configured to match the material being processed and the way the operation intends to use the lab.

Built for rugged field conditions, the Gold Lab is designed as a true plug-and-play final recovery facility. Once positioned and connected to the required utilities, operators can begin processing concentrate, performing final cleanup, and pouring gold bars on site. Whether installed at a remote mine, aggregate operation, exploration project, or existing processing facility, the Gold Lab provides a secure, organized, and professional environment for final-stage gold recovery and plant support.
